Session structure and choices
Your appointment begins with a brief intake to discuss preferences, areas of concern and whether you want a therapeutic or relaxation focus. The session length is 60 minutes and is tailored to pressure, pace and targeted areas. Price for this service is $100.
Located in North Scottsdale near Thompson Peak and the Grayhawk corridor, our clinic is convenient for clients stopping off from Loop 101 or nearby commutes. Many clients schedule around early-morning hikes, golf tee times or evening plans; our timing and location near the McDowell Sonoran Preserve make that practical.
Techniques and therapist approach
Therapists deliver either a therapeutic or a relaxation approach based on your stated goals; adjustments are made through pressure, stroke speed and focused attention rather than fixed protocols. Ongoing communication during the 60 minutes ensures the work matches your tolerance and the areas you want addressed.
There is a trade-off between deeper, focused work and immediate comfort: deeper pressure can address tightness but may cause transient soreness, while a lighter relaxation emphasis favors immediate calming. Tell your therapist about recent activity levels, outdoor workouts or weather exposure to shape pressure and aftercare recommendations.
Preparing and aftercare tips
Arrive a few minutes early to complete any intake forms and share areas you want prioritized. Wear comfortable clothing for before and after the session; our location near Scottsdale Airpark and Loop 101 makes it easy to fit the appointment around a commute, hike or golf tee time.
After the session, hydrate and allow time to get dressed and transition before returning to outdoor activities, errands or dining. Because Scottsdale has hot, dry summers and a brief monsoon season, consider cooling or rehydration strategies if you head back outdoors right away.
