Consultation and intake process
The initial consultation begins with a focused intake that documents your health history, current pain or tension, daily activities, and scheduling needs. We use that information to prioritize areas for the massage and to plan session flow. This conversation considers your lifestyle — for example early-morning hikers or golfers — and any recent activity that affects tension.
A brief, practical movement check or manual assessment may follow the intake to highlight restricted areas or muscular patterns; therapists explain findings and obtain your consent for the plan. Because the full appointment lasts 95 MINUTES, time is allotted to balance consultation and a 90-minute hands-on massage so the session remains focused on your priorities.
Customized session and techniques
Therapists tailor pressure, contact points, and session pacing to the goals established during intake. Choices are made within your comfort and current health information, so techniques focus on areas you want prioritized rather than a one-size-fits-all routine. The therapist observes tissue response and adjusts the plan throughout the 95 MINUTES appointment.
Longer treatment time gives room to address multiple areas, but time must be divided between assessment and bodywork. If you have a specific problem spot, identify it at check-in so the therapist allocates pressure and minutes accordingly; if you prefer broader relaxation, communicate that and the session will be paced for whole-body balance.
Scheduling and local logistics
Camelback Massage and Holistic Therapies is located in Scottsdale near Thompson Peak and the McDowell Mountain Ranch/Grayhawk corridor, convenient for clients traveling on Loop 101. The location makes it easy to stop by before or after a commute, early hikes, golf tee times, or evening dining plans in Old Town Scottsdale.
We serve Scottsdale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Fountain Hills, Cave Creek, and North Phoenix; many clients schedule around outdoor activities typical of the region. Because Scottsdale has a hot desert climate with monsoon seasons, clients often prefer early or later appointments to avoid midday heat when arriving from outdoor exercise.
